David Ambrose: Art I, Art II/III, Photojournalism, PE, Middle and Upper School Coordinator
I am an artist from Ruston, LA, where I earned my Bachelor of Fine Arts with a focus in Studio from Louisiana Tech University. I have been married for 23 years and my 14 year old son will be in the 9th grade here at Treetops. The 2016-2017 school year also marks my 15th year at Treetops. Outside of Treetops I am an Istruttore (instructor) in the Schola Saint George, an organization that studies and practices medieval Italian martial arts and history and a heavy rapier and cut & thrust fighter in the Society for Creative Anachronism.
One of the things about art that I constantly tell my students is that it evolves as you work; it never looks exactly as you imagined when you started. The Cubist Juan Gris said, "You are lost the instant you know what the result will be." I think that applies to life in general-- be flexible.
